Sharlyn and Jonathan’s wedding ceremony at the Liberty Grand, May 10, 2014, violin and cello duo Toronto ON

You were wonderful thank you! Perfect timing on everything. Great arrangements. Thanks for Working with us and thank you for the well wishes!”
Sharlyn and Jon

We had a great time working with this couple to make sure there wedding music was spectacular, and it is always great to get nice feedback. Planning the music selections for Sharlyn and Jonathan’s wedding at the Liberty Grand was very straightforward, as the clients sent a list of what they wanted, and each song they had chosen for the wedding ceremony perfectly. Beyonce’s Halo is quite busy, as there are lots of sixteenth notes for the cellist to play, but there is also a serene quality to it, which makes it a fantastic for the bridesmaids to walk to, but it won’t overpower the bridal processional of Coldplay’s us against the world. When the couple signed the wedding register, the string trio performed Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, and we finished of with a really fun and upbeat Jump by Van Halen!

Bridesmaids: Halo-Beyonce

Processional: Us against the World-Coldplay

Signing: Nothing Else Matters-Metallica

Recessional: Jump-Van Halen

Katrina and Jeremy’s wedding ceremony at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello, violin and cello duo, April 26, 2014, Montebello QC

This wedding ceremony took place in the tent on site at Chateau Montebello, and the day way lovely! We worked very closely with the wedding planner, Roxanne to make sure that everything was organized, all the t’s were crossed and I’s dotted, and the ceremony was lovely. We performed light classical selections during the prelude before the wedding ceremony. The song selections for the ceremony were very traditional, which makes for an elegant yet warm atmosphere.

Processional: Pachelbel Canon

Signing: Bach-Gounod: Ave Maria

Recessional: Mendelsohn: Wedding March

Kim and Reinhold’s wedding ceremony in the Spanish Ballroom of the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, violin and cello duo, April 26, 2014, Vancouver, BC

“It was absolutely lovely – Duo d’Amore were very good. Thank you so much!” Kim and Reinhold

Working with Kim and Reinhold to make sure their wedding was spectacular was amazing, and easy! They wanted a ceremony that was, in Kim’s words “elegant and understated, simple and beautiful.” Using our website as a guide and listening to our samples, they came up with wonderful wedding ceremony music selections, and found the whole process to be easy. Here is the ceremony music they chose for the violinist and cellist to perform:

Bridesmaids processional: Bach - Air on a G string

Bride's processional: Bach - Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring

Signing: Vivaldi - Winter from Four Seasons

Recessional: Handel - La Rejouissance

All of these selections really work well in a room like the Spanish Ballroom, letting the sound of the violin and cello fill the room, and really bloom. Great music for a great couple!

Great new review from clients

As I was checking my email yeasterday, I recieved quite a nice surprise: a beautiful review from clients from a wedding ceremony  that took place at Ball's Falls Chapel in May 2013:

"Ester and Phil here, you may recall that your duo graced our wedding
ceremony this past May at Balls Falls. We wanted to thank both of you
for the fantastic job, in the aftermath of the ceremony we didn't
have a chance to catch you before you departed. The arrangement of
'Will the Night' was spot on and helped to make our ceremony a very
personal, touching experience whose soundtrack we will always
remember"

Thanks again, best of luck, we will certainly recommend you to others should the opportunity arise."

Thanks for such a nice email--we really enjoyed making your day special, and perforing at the beautiful and intimate Chapel at Ball's Falls Conservation area.

Our string duo trio and string quartet performs lots of different types of music at wedding ceremonies, from classical, to pop, fusion, the Beatles, and everything in between. While we enjoy the variety, sometimes it is wonderful to perform classic wedding music. This music is just perfectly suited to the different times in the ceremony, and we received many comments from the guests about our musicians beautiful performance.

Processional: Pachelbel: Canon in D
Signing: Bach-Gounod: Ave Maria
Recessional: Mendelssohn: Wedding March
